We had a unique experience today of witnessing a solar eclipse of 99.7%
While Matt and I were at work, the kids and I left to the library to join in their viewing party. And I'm so glad we went! The library offered free glasses, thank heavens, because I had no clue what was in store for us.
Although the kids didn't care, (Zeplin was fairly excited for awhile), I was so thrilled to see it. It wasn't a total eclipse but it was still amazing to see.
When the moon passed the sun, the entire area got eerily quiet and dark. It was almost like a bad filter on a picture. We had some friends sitting with us and even they were fascinated with what was happening.
I'm so glad we witnessed it.
