Utah Vacation - LAGOON & more!

I woke up way too early on Friday morning. But I'm so glad I did because I caught my two sleepy boys cuddling together & holding hands! Then, I knew that it was going to be a good day.

Since I couldn't go back to sleep, I got up and went out to the living room to look up all the fun rides Zeplin could do while we were at Lagoon. Fortunately, there are a ton of rides! Matt told me earlier in the week that he planned on riding most of the rides with Zeplin since he's not a fan of the big scary rides.
I also did a little research about riding amusement rides while pregnant and got scared after reading some of the comments people posted about miscarrying because of the jarring motions. I waited patiently until 8am to call my doctor to see if I could ride any rides. They called me back pretty quickly and basically said that I could go on the rides.

Once Matt and Zeplin woke up, we got ourselves ready for the day and headed out the door to meet up with the family for breakfast. We jetted over to Costco afterwards and purchased our Lagoon tickets. They're $10 cheaper if you purchase them through Costco!
After one more pit stop, we were on our way to Lagoon. Just before we got there, Zeplin started freaking out that he needed to go potty so I rushed to the ticket counter to buy Zeplin's ticket and took us into the park.

He and I hung around the water fountain until finally meeting up with the rest of the room. Zeplin was jumping and yelling about all the fun rides he wanted to do.

We dropped off our stuff, chatted a little about the things we wanted to do while the big kids helped take care of and play with Zeplin.
Once we decided what we wanted to do, we split ways for a bit and went at it.

Zeplin grabbed my hand and we were off to the kiddie section. He rode so many rides and had so much fun, that he didn't want to be done!

We finally met up and took Zeplin to the log ride. He thoroughly enjoyed that one!!

Matt isn't a big fan of the fast scary rides so I went on those with everything. I rode Spider for the 1st time and had a good time sitting next to Melissa as we laughed and screamed. Nick was kind enough to wear the GoPro.

We also rode Wicked and the other big ride next to it. Matt took Zeplin to ride some more rides until eventually we all met up for lunch.
By then I was pretty red in the face and feeling a little dehydrated. I kept thinking about my little seed growing in my tummy and decided it was time to chill for awhile.

After lunch, we convinced the kids to come with us to ride the Train around the little zoo enclosure they had.

This was, by far, Zeplin's favorite part of Lagoon. He loves trains so much and had a permanent smile from ear to ear the whole ride. I was pleasantly surprised to see all the animals. They had a siberian tiger, a white tiger, cougars, lions, Zebras, camels, deer, elk, bison, kangaroos, and many many more animals. It was so fun to see Zeplin jump up and down with excitement!

The kids did a few more rides, and Matt convinced Zeplin to finally take a nap. I was riding the Samarai with the kids and Nick when I decided I was pretty much tapped out too. I wish I could have fit in the wagon with Zeplin.

But I made the mistake of trying to do more rides. My head was spinning, my stomach was doing flips and I just knew that I was done. Zeplin woke up and we were able to convince he to do a couple more things until finally we all decided we were done.....

Except for one more train ride with everyone!

I slept most of the way back. I had visions of passing out from heat exhaustion so we went straight to Robert's house, ate dinner and I went to bed. I was pretty dehydrated and sick but after a good night's rest & 90+ ounces of water, I woke up feeling much better!

We had intentions to go hiking pretty early in the morning but I just wasn't feeling up to a hike. My hips hurt, my feet hurt and I was still a little nauseas. Partly from the day before and a little bit from being pregnant.
Instead we went to Provo and floated the river. We were all really excited but once I learned that Matt and I weren't going to have anyone to help us with the raft and Zeplin, I was angry. .. Like really angry. Matt and I were hitting rocks, running into trees and broken limbs... Zeplin was crying and kept telling us that he wanted to go home. 1/4 of the way into the ride, I was tempted to get out and walk Zeplin and I back up to the car. I was so upset.

Eventually Zeplin and I calmed down. He started to play in the water a little bit and enjoy himself. Matt and I were able to find a rhythm and work a little better together. We did get stuck a few times but it was easier getting out of situations.

Once we made it to the end, everything was all better. Matt and Robert left to get the cars and while they were gone, Gage entertained us on the tree rope swing. Zeplin even wanted to give it a go. He was insanely adorable and quite my little adventurer. The people hanging around the rope swing were rooting and cheering my little man. Even Gage was getting some cheers for being so brave!

Matt and Robert showed up in time for the crowd to leave so we could let Zeplin play some more on the swing. Then we loaded up, grabbed some food and headed back to Robert's house. Zeplin fell asleep on the way so Matt and I tried to come up with some more fun ideas of things to do when we woke up but we decided to just chill with the family for the rest of the night.

We had dinner at Lulu's then grabbed some snow cones for dessert. Robert and Leslie headed back home while Matt and I stayed behind to chat with Nick and Melissa. We stayed until after 11pm, laughing and listening to Nick & Matt share how much they have in common.

I could hardly keep my eyes open, so we gave hugs and said our goodbyes. They are coming to Idaho in a couple weeks anyways.
It wasn't hard for us to fall asleep last night. We were beat... and burnt.

This morning, Matt's sun burns hurt a lot worse. Mine was gone and Zeplin didn't really have one to begin with. We visited with Robert and Leslie while trying to pack up. We finally made it out around 11am.

The drive home was as easy as the drive there. Zeplin was a good little boy. I even got a chance to talk to my mom who is currently in Florida! They are spending the whole week there then they will head back to Georgia until they have to be home. In the last 10 years, I have not gone this long without being around my mom. I'm a mama's girl for sure!

Anyways, the weekend was a blast. It went by way too quickly and it's hard to believe it's already almost July.
