We went to the Boise river earlier this week to see what all the fuss was about and basically, it's flooding all the surrounding areas! It's nuts to see the news reports of how they've closed down most of the greenbelt and urge everyone to prepare for flooding.
I've never seen the river this high. It's actually kind of scary because it's only getting worse. The mountain snow hasn't all melted and spring showers still approach the valley through the season.

Hailee came over and played volleyball with me one of the nights she was in town. It was incredible to play with her and have her mom there to watch! We love Hailee! I wish Zeplin was older so we could keep her - hahahaha
League Volleyball also started and I've been loving it. I only get to play when I don't have a softball game so I'm really only playing like 3-4 games this season. Although I love playing, I feel awkward on the team. I just barely met these women over the past year and although they're nice, it's just awkward. They're all friends from playing volleyball together for quite some time..... One of them is the wife to a guy I dated before marrying Matt. . . . . But I remember feeling this way on my softball team when we first started and now it's not like that.
Speaking of, softball started this month and it's been great!! We were bumped back down to C3 which actually made me happy. C1 was fun but it was hard and a little scary playing first base against a bunch of men who could place the ball wherever they wanted. And they hit REALLY hard!
I love playing... although, I'm starting to feel like my seasons are coming to an end. I took a ball to the hand from my shortstop during practice. It was kind of funny but .... I might not be a young, quick and flexible as I once was. hahaha

Matt got our family a 3 wheeler and has been fixing it up for the summer. We decided not to do a ton of camping trips this year and just take day trips with the 3 wheeler. We have a big vacation planned in August to visit some places in Utah so we want to save money for that.
We finally convinced Zeplin to ride the "tryc" around the neighborhood without freaking out. He hates loud noises so it took a lot of coaxing.
I know the kids are super excited for trips though.

We surprised Zeplin with a trip to Expo Idaho on April 9th, to have an adventure with the dinosaurs. It was a blast. Zeplin ran through the exhibit and didn't really give us the time we wanted to read about the dinosaurs but it was really all for him anyways.

Grandma went home just before dinner but we were so happy to celebrate the day with her!!
We took the kids to visit the Birds of Prey on April 15th. We thought it was a free thing via Facebook but when we got there, we were mistaken. They kindly let us in free. Zeplin loved it. He even sat quietly through the entire presentation and absorbed as much information as possible! Arrowlyn wanted to hold the birds and threw a fit during one of their presentations so I had to take her out and wander the other rooms.

Remember Bingo...? Well, we got to visit him again on April 17th to take him to his 2 week post check up. His mouth was completely healed up and he was happy and healthy. He was so happy when I walked up to his house to pick him up that he literally jumped into my arms. Mr Bass was bummed he couldn't come with us but Zeplin was my awesome helper and we were thrilled to have some time with him.

Nikki and the girls came to town on April 21st for a dance competition for Brooklyn. We loved having them for the weekend! It made for a fun time with family.

Then we all went to see Lego Batman. That was a lot of fun!

I have been working my tail off to lose weight this month.
I also joined an Adventure Bootcamp that meets every morning at 5:15am. (but I've been going to their Tues/Thurs PM classes instead of those mornings)
I'm not going to talk much about it here because I'm doing a running blog post in the About Me section of my blog. I'm using it as a way to keep me accountable for an 8 Week Body Transformation Contest that I joined through Herbalife this month.

I had my 1 year appointment with my Doctor this month too and I told him all about my anxiety attacks. With my consent, he opted to have us remove my birth control and see if that helps. I will check back with him at the end of May.
I also can't sleep again. Even with a sleeping aide. The melatonin doesn't work anymore either. I know it's the anxiety keeping me up at night. I wish it would go away.

Matt spent a few evenings for a couple weeks building a bed for a friend of ours, Chloe. It was a beautiful little play house bed. Chloe turns 3 in a couple weeks and this was her birthday present. Matt finished it in the garage, tore it down and took it to their house in reassemble.
Once it was set up, Chloe ran up and played in it. She was so happy. But when she went down, she went too fast and fell off the stairs. It was sad and scary. Tina and Charles were gone so there was a babysitter. I felt horrible so I stayed and cleaned up Chloe's hurt toe. Once she calmed down, we left. I text Tina the next morning and she said the Chloe was okay and they worked with her last night to go down the stairs little more carefully.
Tina worked through this last week to paint the wood and sent me a picture. It turned out so adorable!! Matt did a fantastic job and I'm so proud of my crafty, handy man husband!

I entered my children into a drawing on Facebook to have their pictures taken by a local photographer. In the middle of my softball game on the 20th, Thursday, I got a text message on my watch from a friend who entered her children also, that my children won the drawing and would be getting their pictures taken that Saturday.
I bought them new outfits and make sure they were cute and Saturday afternoon, we headed to Jenny's studio.
Jenny was sweet and kind. Her backdrop and props were beautiful!! I mean seriously - full beautiful bouquets of flowers and headbands and bows....
Zeplin was my perfect charmer. He was sweet and followed her instructions. Jenny was constantly complimenting Zeplin on his willingness to do what she asked and maturity and charm! He was really a charmer that day.
Arrowlyn on the other hand, not so charming. She screamed and cried almost the entire time! I was so sad because she looked so cute but she wasn't cute at all. Hopefully Jenny caught one where she wasn't crying but if she didn't, the memory itself will be funny to think back on.
Hopefully we will get the photos back soon but I'm sure she's going to have to do some mega editing on Arrowlyn's pictures.

I received a really wonderful compliment from someone I met a couple months ago through church volleyball and just recently have gotten to know. Even though we don't know each other all that well, she's been very kind and I am grateful to have made a new friend who helps me be a better mama.

The highlight to our month came at the very end when Kaycee, my best friend, went into labor 19 days early and had her baby girl, Tinzlee!
She was 7 pounds 9 ounces and 19 3/4inch long. She was so tiny and beautiful!! I started crying when Erik put her in my arms I hugged Kaycee. We both just cried. The day before, I was supposed to go visit Kaycee but she just wasn't feeling well and I totally understood and commented that I felt her anxiety through the phone. I knew she just needed time to relax and be home.
Fast forward 12 hours later at midnight, she text me to say her water broke and she was having her baby.
Fast forward another 12 hours, Erik text me that she had Tinzlee and welcomed me to come over! I was so happy!
Kaycee's only wish was to have her baby naturally (go into labor naturally at least) and she did! We prayed for it and Heavenly Father answered our prayers.

We finished our month with a fantastic evening in the backyard, roasting hot dogs and eventually smores! It was a wonderful was to end April and welcome May!
