Every autumn, I'm usually so eager to get all dolled up for family pictures but for some reason this year, I was avoiding it a little. I didn't want to buy new clothes, and I wanted to get my hair done. (Jessica gave me bangs in a random, unplanned moment and I love them.) I also wanted to wait until the leaves were turning but anyways, we had some changes to our plans last weekend so we pulled some stuff from our closets, charged my camera battery and headed to the Greenbelt. My kids were AMAZING. They smiled beautiful and posed perfectly. They wanted so desperately to explore that it was a great motivation to quickly get the job done. I was proud of them. Usually I get really frustrated and afraid that nothing is going to turn out but we always get something and this time, it completely exceeded my expectations!
