Matt and I bought season passes for the whole family to roaring springs to finish off this year and go all next summer. Spending 2-3x a week this month really helped to cool us down.
Our garden has been flourishing. Arrow baked over 20 loaves of zucchini bread this month while Zeplin harvested the zucchini and tomatoes, every day. The two of them also had a lemonade stand and did so well that they each made $25 after paying me back $30 for all the product. They did well with their communication skills and product slinging. My kids aren't shy so it's was fun to see them chat their customers ears off.
We took a few fun trips. Once to play at Indian Creek Plaza (girls trip with Arrow) and twice to Jump Time. I did a couple more trips to Quinn's Pond to paddle board with some friends before the water got yucky. Arrow had a Princess birthday party and Zeplin played with friends a lot.
My dad had a back surgery that landed him a week long stay in the hospital with COVID and then transferred to a therapy facility for a few weeks. My sister Rebecca came to town to help my mom out and we had a great time visiting with her. AnnaMerin came with her and joined us (with Victoria and Claire) at Roaring Springs the day they came to town. It was great fun!!
Overall, it was a wonderful month. September should be interesting with the changes to school structure and homeschool.
