It seems like every other year we end up at Celebration Park for New Years Day. It was an easy decision to make deciding to spend a few hours there. The weather was gorgeous with just a little bit of wind; surprising for the location since it's right on the river and the wind blows all the time there. Also surprising were the amount of people there. But I guess it's to be expected with all the people moving to the valley.
Unfortunately, I had a terrible migraine which I had a suffer through but my kids & dog seemed to be having fun. I think Zeplin would have rather explored more but every step I took felt like Rick Grimes was slamming an ax into my zombie brain.
People were using the big boulders to play Airsoft. We could hear the pew pew of the smell pellets whirling above us with the occasional "Owe Owe!" This reminded me of my fun times playing Paintball there with some of my friends. Matt set the intention for us to go back there soon with our new Orbie Guns that we all got for Christmas. Preferably during a time when my head isn't screaming at me.
We got home soon after 3pm and I fell asleep for a couple hours. It didn't help the migraine but I felt much better.
