We surprised the kids with sledding at Eagle Island for the New Year! They had no idea we were doing it until we pulled into Eagle Island State Park. They had so much fun. Arrowlyn had some tears before the first ride but halfway down she yelled, "I love sledding!" And that was the end of the tears.
Zeplin is turning into a little (still apprehensive) thrill seeker. He wants to go fast, spin and do tricks cautiously but still be wild. I love watching him grow up. He's so much fun!
We had full intention of not staying up later. We wanted to sleep in, take our time getting ready for the day and go exploring .... Neither Matt or I had to work so it was perfect... until I walked next door to our neighbors party and we ended up staying the rest of the night until midnight; Karaoke, food, drinks, Jackbox and learning Filipino New Year traditions. But as soon as midnight hid, we were out the door and in bed.
Here it is, 8:30am on New Years Day and everyone is still asleep, I have a pounding headache but I'm really excited for them to wake up so we can start our day!
