I had a full weekend off and we took advantage of it. I wanted to go for a drive and look for a place to take our family pictures this year while also enjoying the last of August before we put the top and doors back on the Jeep so we loaded up the kids and Max and went for a drive to Idaho City. We drove up Grimes Creek on a forest service road that leads us to IC, getting out occasionally to enjoy the views and have a picnic. It was a beautiful trip!!
We did a double date with our friends, Amber & Brandon Lochridge, taking them on a jeep ride to 8th street. We were so sad to get a short way up & find the BLM closed the road after the area was devastated by the Claremont fire, so we drove back down and had some dinner at Hawkins and talked for over an hour.
