Prior to Zeplin's broken foot on 9/18, he ran in 4 races. This was the first year that he actually conveyed that he enjoyed running, because he was getting better at it and growing into his feet which are currently a size 12!!!
When he broke his foot, we told him that his XC season was probably over and he was genuinely upset, exclaiming that he wanted to run just as soon as he's cleared.
At his followup appointment on the 28th, it was confirmed that he cannot put on running shoes for another 5 weeks, ultimately ending his XC season as we suspected.
He did really well and we are so proud of him.
