Photos dumps are my fail-proof way of getting all my photos off my phone, without writing a single word about them, for the past 4-7 years. This also became my crutch to justify that I didn't need to sit down and journal or process or document anything except to rely on the memories of moments immortalized by a picture. Maybe because my mom's dementia diagnosis, I'm realizing that my memories are not reliable as I age but I'm recognizing the fragility of my own mind. I'm sure my memory problems come from 'mom brain' but it also doesn't help that I've had over 5 concussions in my life.
But whether I dump my pictures on a blog, write it out, or rely on my memories, I live a very charmed life and I truly don't want to forget it.
