This little mister climbed into my lap and I knew, immediately, this was a test to see if I could say no.
I couldn't - I failed!
But I passed at the same time - meaning, I picked the sweetest, cutest bunny ever! Or did he pick us?
When we had Charlie, we knew we made a mistake. I didn't research anything but I saw hearts when I set my eyes on him. It turned out, he wasn't much of a family rabbit. We found him a better suited place and hung up our bunny dreams to dry. Until our friends, the Howards, got an itty bitty bunny for Christmas and all my swooning for a bunny came flooding back. Apparently, my bunny dreams still had moisture.
I started to research: Best bunnies for children, how to litter train rabbits, family friendly rabbit breeds, etc. My search engine and algorithms were just bunny, bunny, bunny! Then I found a gal in Caldwell who had an older litter that needed homes and ironically, she's the sister to our friends/neighbors behind us! I drove out to see her bunnies (raised by her 3 boys under the age of 7). They were so cute, the bunnies too! These little boys man handled these bunnies and before I knew it, I had all of them either on my lap or in my arms. It was hard to decide. But when I put down Mr Moon (as Rorschach was originally named), he bounced away before eventually coming back and hopping in my lap, and I knew he was ours.
I loaded him up and headed home, eager for after school pick up when I could show Arrowlyn. She was ecstatic when she got in the car.
We've had Rorschach now for 2 weeks and we love him so much! He's friendly and funny. He loves to jump on the couch with us and snuggle under our necks. He lets us clip his nails and brush his lion mane fur, which is absolutely chaotic all the time. Rory is mostly potty trained but isn't perfect.
We love him!
